Church Groups Morning Prayer 9.15am every Tuesday A short reflective and creative worship service to start the day - come and discuss our Bible readings and prayer for our church and community and each other. Bible Study / Advent / Lent Groups These usually run on Wednesday evenings in the vicarage and occasionally at other times. For those unable to come in person to study groups online material will be available in study materials. Enquirers classes, First Communion and Confirmation classes Sign up to one of our classes especially designed for those who are new to faith and interested to learn more. First Communion are for 7+ years and Confirmation for 11+ Children's Church Children's church is our Sunday School (but not school!) and happens every Sunday in the main service 10am-11am. We learn about our Christian faith through fun games, crafts and lessons. For 4years + A highlight of the year is our nativity play before Christmas. Youth Group Secondary aged youngsters meet the first Sunday of every month for fun, games and learning about faith. Choir We practice on the second and fourth Sundays every month at 9.20am and help lead the music in our worship. Come along and sing with us. Art Reflective space to create art in the warmth of the hall. Run by Rev Juliet and Gordana. Materials are provided and this is free (donations always welcome). Every Wednesday 3.30pm -5pm term time only. This is an inclusive group for all ages and abilities - children are welcome with a carer. All your strength Fitness 5 accessible pay what you can afford fitness classes run by Rev Juliet in Church every week. We use a mix of body weight and free weights. Mats are available or bring your own. Mondays 9.15am Tuesdays 7.30pm Wednesdays 9.15am Wednesdays 10.15am (no floor work suitable for seniors and those who want to stay upright!) Thursdays 7am Community Groups Hither Green Community Choir Hither Green Community Choir meet every Wednesday evening in church 7.30pm – 9.30pm. Please contact us if you would like more information and to be put in touch with Phillip Bell who is the choir director. The choir sing in concerts and also in church on occasion. Band The band are a community group of musicians directed by Karen Wallis (one of our organists at St Swithun’s) – we are mostly brass, some percussion and some wind instruments. We practice on occasion - if you are interested please contact us.
