Key information about the church...

Where & when does the church meet?

Our Church meets every Sunday at 10:00am for our Sunday Service.

We meet at:
191 Hither Green Lane
Hither Green
London SE13 6QE

You can see a map on our contact us page

What should I expect when I visit the church?

You will receive a very warm welcome particularly from our Welcome Team who will be able to answer your questions and direct you to where you need to go.
You will have a hymn book for singing hymns and a service booklet with the words of the service.  You will be guided through the service by the person who is leading the service.  We hear from the Bible, listen to a sermon, share the peace and have the Eucharist or communion.

Tea, coffee and biscuits are served after the service where there is plenty of time to meet new people and ask more questions.

What about children at church?

All are welcome in St. Swithun’s! At St. Swithun’s we welcome everyone to our church family.  So we are delighted that children are with us and we want them and you to feel part of our worshipping community. Children are always the responsibility of parents and carers when we are in church. Please be encouraged to engage your child to take part in our worship.

We have all age services once a month and at particular celebrations which are especially inclusive of children.  Sunday School meets in term time for 4 years and up.  Where possible we have an 11+ group and a session for under 4s (which is accompanied by a carer).

Is there a dress code?

No! Please just be yourself and come dressed in your 'normal' clothes.

Will I have to join in?

Not at all! You are free to simply observe or participate as much as feels comfortable for you.

I have more questions, how can I get in touch and ask them.

Please feel free to contact us.
